Archbishop Dr. Donnie McLeod, Sr & First Lady Eldress Blanche McLeod

 

The late Archbishop Dr. Donnie McLeod and his late wife, First Lady Eldress Blanche McLeod, are the founders of the Inspirational Church of God in Christ Jesus, Inc. located in Brooklyn, NY.  He met his wife Eldress Blanche McLeod at The Church Of God In Christ Jesus, where he served as the director of the music department. After establishing the Inspirational Church Of God and Christ Jesus, Inc., he also became the Bishop of another church which is located in Brooklyn, NY.

Dr. McLeod attended The College of Staten Island. He attained a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and a Doctorate Degree in Theology and Christian Studies from Master’s Divinity University in which he graduated with honors.  He was a retiree of the New York City Department of Education after 20 years of service. He was an advocator for education and motivated many to finish school and achieve goals.  He owned and operated McLeod Residential House of Hope, a transitional homeless shelter for men.  He received many honorary awards for his outreach ministries.  Dr. Donnie McLeod is an accomplished author of the published book, “Walking The Believers Through To Be A Success In What They Ask From God.”

He was a profound preacher and teacher who was instrumental in teaching and preaching daily living to his congregation and others. His main goal was leading others to Jesus Christ.  He was also, a play writer, singer, choir director, and a musician who taught other aspiring musicians.  He often placed the needs of others above his own and was a father to many. Through God’s leading, he instructed many people on how to better themselves morally with spiritual motivation.  He was a great leader, counselor, supporter and a great spiritual and natural father whose motivation was to help others to reach their God given potential. 

Dr. McLeod's talents and passions extended beyond the fields of ministering and writing.  He was an avid reader in addition to being an accomplished musician.  But if asked, Dr. McLeod, he would say his greatest accomplishment was serving God and his family to whom he was extremely devoted. Dr. McLeod and his wife raised God-fearing, gifted children, who work in and are dedicated to the ministry.  His dedication to his family was unsurpassed.  In addition, his care for his extended family, church family and friends crossed all generations and profoundly affected the lives of all.

The late First Lady Eldress Blanche McLeod and her late husband, Archbishop Dr. Donnie McLeod are the founders of the Inspirational Church of God in Christ Jesus, Inc. located in Brooklyn, NY.  She met her husband, Archbishop Dr. Donnie McLeod, at The Church Of God In Christ Jesus, where she served in the ministry.  Together with her husband, they raised God-fearing, gifted children, who work in and are dedicated to the ministry. 

First Lady McLeod attended the College of Staten Island where she studied urban planning.  She later obtained a Bachelor’s Degree of Theology.  She received a Master’s Degree in counseling from Master’s Divinity University. She was a retiree of the New York City Department of Education after 15 years of service.  She was an advocator for education and motivated many to finish school and achieve goals.  She co-owned and operated McLeod Residential House of Hope, a transitional homeless shelter for men.  She received many honorary awards for her outreach ministries.  

She was a great First Lady, who like her husband, was instrumental in teaching and preaching daily living to her congregation and others.  First Lady McLeod was very active in spreading the word of Jesus Christ to her adopted children in Africa and China.  She was extremely dedicated to her vocation in Christ.  She taught Sunday School, counseled, and provided natural and spiritual nourishment to everyone she came in contact with.  In addition, she was a great singer, song writer and poet.  First Lady McLeod’s poems have been published including, “Homeless Soldier” and “What Will You Say.”

She was the epitome of a First Lady and mother, spiritually and naturally so.  She taught many women, what it is to be a lady, a wife, and a mother.  She led by example and often placed the needs of others above her own. She was firm and knowledgeable in the doctrine of Jesus Christ and always urged others to seek Jesus.  Her famous line was, “Seek Jesus while He can be found, Acts 2:38.”

First Lady Eldress Blanche McLeod always had a welcoming smile and exhibited great love that blessed everyone around her.
